Helloooo, lovely!
It’s been a while since I’ve written to you. But, get ready, because this a very special review of “Disney On Ice presents Road Trip Adventures” that I know you will enjoy if you and your family are huge Disney fans, or even if you just enjoy a great show.
Review of Disney On Ice presents Road Trip Adventures
“Disney On Ice presents Road Trip Adventures” starts off with two people in full Disney garb hyping up the crowd. They get dads to dance, then moms, and finally everyone! So they get the show started on a high note with everyone’s blood pumping.
Then, Mary Poppins flies in on her umbrella and starts to “Trip a Little Light Fantastic” with her chimney sweep friends.
Next, it’s time for the Mice of the Hour! Mickey and Minnie come zooming out from backstage, and the crowd goes wild!
Mickey and Minnie invite us to go on a roadtrip with them and their friends – Goofy and Donald!
On the road, we get to experience pivotal animated Disney and Pixar movie moments.
The Incredibles heat things up.
Moana sets sail…
and meets everyone’s favorite demigod – Maui.
Then, we see what summer’s like in Olaf’s imagination.
And “Let It Go” with Elsa and her “snowflakes”.
We go to the jungle and “Feel the Love Tonight” with Simba and friends.
Our next stop is with Woody and friends. We help them play some carnival games to find Forky and guess what? Nah, I don’t have to tell ya.
Next, we visit Aladdin. He meets Genie in the cave of wonders and we “Make Way for Prince Ali.”
[Let me pause our adventure for a moment just to say that the “Prince Ali” performance is visually stunning, and probably the most beautiful part of the show. And this is coming from someone who absolutely adores Moana and Elsa.
You have to see this part of the show to believe it, and even as you’re watching it, you won’t believe your eyes – it is that good!
But, you’ll definitely have to see it for yourself, because my camera was on the fritz and I couldn’t get any photos.
Now, back to the show…]
We go on “a magic carpet ride” with Jasmine and Aladdin.
There’s a Disney Princess “Girl Power” pit stop where most of the Disney princesses come out and dance together.
And finally, the road trip ends with most of the characters we met on the trip dancing and waving goodbye.
Overall Review
Even if you’ve been to other “Disney On Ice” shows, this one was unique in that they made every effort to engage the audience. They had different audience members ride in the car on the ice with the characters, they threw balls into the audience, they kept turning on the jumbotron and showing you the crowd, and they posted photos of audience members on the large screens. They’ve also updated the line up to include newer movies, like the live-action version of Aladdin, and Toy Story 4.
With Disney characters we love, bike riders on ice, aerial acrobatics, a high level of audience participation, and an excellent story line, “Disney On Ice presents Road Trip Adventures” is sure to wow you!
